I’ve never met a dog or a cat that I didn’t like! Even when an animal is not a lap pet, I find that they have some quality about them that is absolutely charming. Animals are similar to people in that way. My particular love in interacting with animals is to give them lots of ear scratches. I find that even the most disinterested cat likes gentle rubs behind the ears. As someone who’s had dozens of cats and many dogs over the years (which were a result of my big-hearted parents), I can say this with experience! Another thing I know how to do is simply to leave an animal alone if they are the shy or reserved type. I have found this can be one of the best ways to build trust for a timid creature. Distance: I try to keep my fees low, with the idea that Bloomington is quite small. However, if you are more than 2 miles away, I may request an additional small fee per visit. Although this may seem silly, it is important to remember that Rover charges sitters a 20% fee, before taxes and travel costs are deducted. For the most part, though, this has not been an issue.
