Pet care experience
I AM FLUENT IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH. My Service Area is Johnson City, Tennessee. I moved from Martinez, California, in August of 2021. YOUR SECOND DOG IS FREE. Each additional dog is $10. I do cats ($10) only if they come with the dog. PLEASE NOTE: DOGGY DAY CARE IN YOUR HOME ONLY. Since the condo I rent does not have a yard, I offer DOGGY DAY CARE in the comfort of your doggy's home. No need to bring your dogs to my home or pick them up! SECOND DOG IS FREE. Additional dog is $10. I LOVE ALL BREEDS, and I grew up with German Shepherds and Border Collies. I do not own a dog as an adult. However, as a Volunteer and Member of German Shepherd Rescue of Northern California for the last 7 years, I fostered their dogs and took them to Adoption Events, took their boarded dogs not yet fostered to the vet, and walked the boarded dogs. I am very comfortable with and know how to take anything harmful out of a dog's mouth quickly. I can also give oral medications. RECENT EXPERIENCE: My last foster dog was a large 4-year-old male German Shepherd named Rocky. I fostered him for 6 months and fell in love with him. He first came to me weighing 121 pounds, and through good nutrition and exercise I got his weight down to a healthy 99 pounds. His previous owners had let him beg from the table and counter surf. I trained Rocky to stay out of the kitchen while cooking, stay off the counter, and happily go lie down whenever and wherever I ate. Rocky used to attack the vacuum cleaner ferociously and bite it real hard. With positive reinforcement I taught him to leave it alone.
Reviews
Paula is great! Puma loves her and we are very comfortable being away knowing our doggy is being loved and well cared for!
Our dog, Puma, welcomed Paula from the beginning. Paula did a great job of keeping us informed in sending many photos so we knew what Puma was up to. We felt Puma was very well cared for and would certainly use Paula again!
Paula is great!
Paula stayed with my Ruby for 5 nights and I’d be thrilled to have her come back again. She is very conscientious— wants to know the little details about who she’s caring for since every dog is different. Paula left my home cleaner than it was when I left! Five stars!

I also take excellent care of your home, get your mail, put out your trash bins, water your plants and yard, and keep your yard immediately clean after your dog does its business. I also bring my own stuff to make myself at home, including my pillows and food. You just need to supply clean sheets (and towels if you want to, or I can bring my own).

Information Paula V. would like to know about your pet
I prefer a "getting to know each other" meeting at least one day ahead of time so that your doggy will feel comfortable with me in your absence. I also have experience in gaining the trust of German Shepherds that are a little timid (however many visits it may take). I will be glad to keep your doggy to his or her schedule and, if you desire, continue any training that you are involved in so that there is no lapse. For the safety of the dog and everyone else, I know enough not to accept walking an untrained large and very strong dog that pulls and bolts after other animals.
A typical day
All of my clients receive photos and updates from me via text. With love and affection, I will feed Your dog his meals, play his favorite games, play ball with him in your yard, walk him in your neighborhood and wherever he is familiar, and in some cases drive him to a nearby park when house sitting. I can train your dog to keep a loose leash while walking by positive reinforcement. With me as his pack leader, your dog will feel comfortable, secure, and loved.

DOG SITTING IS MY ONLY FULL-TIME JOB, and in my care your precious furkids will receive lots of love and undivided attention. When HOUSE SITTING OVERNIGHT, the only time I leave your dog alone (normally 1 or 2 hours) is to go to the grocery store, drop in on another dog, or go to an appointment (haircut). When doing DOGGY DAYCARE in your home just for the day, I do not drop in on other dogs because it would take away time from your dog (since I'm with your dog only for the day). House Sitting and Doggy Daycare include DOG WALKING FREE OF CHARGE.
