Paula Powers Wellesley Dog Sitting

Pet care experience

(PLEASE NOTE ONLY ONE-NIGHT STAYS FOR FIRST-TIME CLIENTS--see below. Thank you!). I've always been an animal caretaker. I love to make dogs of all ages feel secure, loved, and content. I don't leave them alone at any time. There are no other dogs in the home, just them. They can sleep on my bed and stay with me 24/7. My 2nd floor duplex apartment is extremely quiet, sunny, and peaceful--full of good vibes. There's a nice yard and a perfect neighborhood for walking--with sidewalks, trails through Wellesley College to the Lake, and a village (Wellesley Center) that welcomes dogs in almost every store. I'm in the process of building a business as a holistic canine care consultant, to help people learn how to heal and safeguard their dogs naturally. I'm currently earning my Naturopathic Veterinary Consultant certification, and have spent 25 years studying and practicing holistic healing on my own dogs and the myriad foster/rescue dogs I have housed for local rescue organizations in LA. I really do best with dogs who need assurance and affection, rather than discipline, because I'm a total pushover! Being small myself, I don't handle/walk large, rambunctious dogs at this time, as I don't want to risk their getting away from me. I do ask that first-time clients book for only 1 day (overnight). This is because there are certain unknowns, both for me and for your dog, when they come into my home and are separated from their family. If a short visit shows that they are happy here and we are a good match, I'm happy to have them come and stay as long as they like! For doggie daycare in my home, I would only be taking care of your dog (or dogs). They can be dropped off in the morning and picked up after work. There are discounted rates for weekly or monthly bookings. For stays longer than 10 hours an additional fee applies. I will only be taking care of YOUR dog or dogs when they are with me; I don't serve more than one client at a time. I feel it's safer and less stressful for the dog that way, whether we are talking about daycare or overnight boarding. I look forward to meeting your pup and giving him or her a great vacation with a doting auntie. You can rest assured that your dog will have the ultimate in comfort, serenity, and companionship while you are gone!

Paula was terrific! My dog was happy and safe while she "vacationed" with Paula. I will seek out her help again.

"I've always though that Paula was incomplete without a dog by her side at all times. Her life revolves around loving and caring for those 4 legged beauties. I am positive she loves dogs more than people, and I'm sure she has more recipes for feeding pets than she does for feeding herself. I'd be more than happy to call her my dogs God mom forever"

Paula was wonderful and incredibly nurturing. My dog was in very good hands and I could enjoy my vacation and not worry. I would definitely recommend Paula to anyone who needs to leave their dog behind. It's not easy to leave a family member, and Paula made the whole transition easier. Thank you Paula!
