I am a dog and cat lover! With the exception of a few years while in university, I have always had a dog or cat as a pet. Please read my profile carefully before you request a booking or meet and greet appointment with me. Thank you :) I specialize in small and medium-sized dogs for pet-sitting in my home. I also welcome goldendoodles, aussiedoodles and bernadoodles in my home which may be a bit bigger than medium size. Although I love all sizes of dogs, I am unable to accommodate large dogs such as huskies, retrievers, labs, or german shepherds. My own dog, Taylor does not seem to get along well with certain large breeds in my home.

It goes without question that Paula was the perfect person to take care of my 4 cats while I was away. I have peace of mind knowing that in the future I can go away on a longer trip knowing Paula will take cate of my pets like they are her own. We were so thankful that Paula could fit us in on New Year's eve, our senior dog loves spending time with her and enjoys her windows to watch the world. Paula is caring and compassionate with all her pets which helps us relax when we are away. Looking forward to using her services again!

Walks in the neighbourhood will take place once per day on weekdays and twice per day on weekends while your pet is with me. I recently moved to a house in Crescentwood! Your dog will be having lots of fun in my fully-fenced backyard and on my deck. I installed a fence with a dog bubble so dogs can see what’s going on in the back lane too!. If your dog likes dog parks, we will visit the Brenda Leipsic Dog Park or Bonnycastle Dog Park, with my own dog Taylor tagging along. For dog park visits, your dog must have a City of Winnipeg pet license. My home is non-smoking and dog-proofed with no chemicals used in cleaning.

A meet and greet is required prior to booking for dogs staying overnight in my home. This allows me to meet you and your dog and answer any questions you may have. I have a questionnaire that I go through to ask about your dog's routine etc. Please fully complete your Rover profile so I can read all about your pet prior to our meet and greet. DROP IN VISITS: I am happy to drop-in to your home to provide daily care and feeding to your cat(s). Visits are 30 minutes in length and will involve feeding, litter box cleaning and playing with your cat. I can also take in your mail and any other security or house-related things that are needed. Prior to confirming a booking, I visit your home and meet with you and your cat(s) to get instructions.
A typical day
I have extra dog crates/kennels if your dog sleeps in a kennel at night or needs a quiet break during the day. I have several dog beds that they can nap in and lots of toys to play with. When we go to the dog park we play with a chuck-it ball launcher or frisbees! Please also bring any special toys or stuffed animals your dog loves.

Availability
I have lots of time to provide personal care for your pets. I work at home 2 days per week and I am home evenings and weekends. I also have a 16 year old teenager who loves dogs and cats as much as I do. Your pet will get our full attention! If you read my reviews, several of them mention my daughter and her loving and caring approach toward the pets we pet sit. Your dog will be allowed on all furniture and if they want to sleep with me on my bed at night, that is no problem! My own dog, Taylor, sleeps in his crate at night so your dog will have the bed all to themselves.
