The first dogs in my life were a pair of Labradors, who lived on a farm near Lake Michigan. Sandy days of fetching at the beach and strolling shady woodland trails filled my last year as a boy. It was long before I moved to Los Angeles as a teenager and got my first dog, a German Shepard. Whether just keeping company, enjoying a brisk walk or long hike, I enjoy time with dogs of many different temperaments. I mainly work as a middle school teacher and understand the importance of keeping routines, diets, and loving discipline on point. To me, dogs are like children in the way that they each need individual attention to their personal needs, strengths, and weaknesses. Sometimes, nothing is better than having a buddy to share your day. :)
