I am 48 years old and have always had a dog in my life. I think dogs are important part of life as they allow me to create a bond with an incredible animal. I have owned a German Shorthair Pointer (Ellie) for the past 12 years which has taught me "patience" to a degree I never thought possible! I am very patient with dogs and understand that most dogs need attention. I will always treat any dog with respect and love. Recently I had a wonderful experience taking care of a 3 year old Boston Terrier Lucy. Lucy's owners left for a trip to Iceland and England and asked if I could take care of Lucy two weeks. I had never taken care of a Boston Terrier before so was excited at the opportunity to learn about a new breed. What a great experience! She was so fun and adapted to her surroundings almost immediately. I learned that Boston Terriers can be just as stubborn as German Shorthair Pointers. She has so much energy and loved to play tug-o-war and go to the dog park. I couldn't resist letting her sleep in the bed as she would jump up and burrow under the covers and sleep peacefully with a cute snore. I would welcome the opportunity to have her over my house at any time.
