Hi there, I have cared for Schnauzers most of my life and currently care for my Giant Schnauzer, Winston. I have also cared for my cousin’s Pitbulls a few times. I enjoy looking after all kinds of dogs, but deeply enjoy working with larger dogs that have some degree of obedience training. I am happy to pick up on what you have taught your dog and reinforce it when we’re out in the city. I have experience working with prong, slip, and martingale collars.

Paul fue de increíble ayuda cuando cuidó a Gregor! Lo cuido como si fuera suyo, ayudo a seguir con su entrenamiento, mientras yo estaba de vacaciones. Me mandaba fotos de él siempre que lo sacaba a caminar. Y se puede ver el cariño que le tiene Gregor y la emoción cada vez que lo ve!
There is no one I can recommend more than Paul to watch your dog. He is a genuine dog lover and exceptionally responsible owner, and he will take the absolute best care of your pup. He has always done a phenomenal job caring for and training his beautiful giant Schnauzer named Winston, and you can feel confident that you and your dog's particular needs are in very good hands. I have had both large and small dogs and think carefully about the best route to take your loved one for a walk. I will want to know their social preferences as I will always make sure your loved one is safe and comfortable in such a busy urban environment. For dropping by for a visit, I am quick to follow any specific routine you need for your dog. I have experience reinforcing training at home that helps your dog have good manners if so desired. I’d love to get to know your dogs preference for affection and care, and the small details that bring joy to them. More importantly, however, I’d like to know of any behavior that I should keep in mind in different environments. Some dogs love being in busy streets, and many do not. Similar with meeting other dogs and people. Whatever those needs are I am here to meet them to keep you and your dog comfortable with my service.
A typical day
I do not walk multiple dogs at once as I like to give my full attention to yours just as I do to my Winston. I can do a range of physically and mentally stimulating activities: it can be as simple as fetch or jogging with your dog, or more nuanced like some obedience training with treats. I would love to go for a walk to Central Park or Hudson River Walk with your consent.

Availability
I live in Upper West Side and work a full time job in Tribeca. I can do walks between 6am-8am Mondays and Thursdays, or after 7 on any weekday in either neighborhood. Weekends are on a case by case basis for other neighborhoods in Manhattan.
