Trustworthy, friendly, responsible with an attention to detail, I take dogs and dog walking very seriously. I am an experienced dog owner and dog lover. I have walked and cared for dogs for my neighbors for a number of years. I believe in taking a calm and friendly approach to dog walking, helping the dogs relax and keep moving, while being patient and giving them treats when appropriate. I try to make sure they are friendly to other dogs, but know when it's better to avoid others and move on. I make sure they receive water or anything else they need. I can recommend Paul for your pet-sitting needs wholeheartedly! He dog-sat for me while I was on an extended vacation (3 weeks) and I'm convinced that my dog (who is a rescue and I'd never been away from for such a long period of time) handled my long absence because of Paul's level of caring for her -- he took her for walks, kept her company and played with her -- essentially he cared for her as his own! My next-door-neighbor owns a Collie, named Katy. When my neighbor is at work, I walk Katy, along with my two dogs. This summer, my neighbor was out of the country for 3 weeks and I was responsible for Katy's care, while she was away. Paul D., who lives in our neighborhood, volunteered to help out. I asked him if he could take Katy on her morning walks. Paul came over, promptly, every morning, and took Katy for her walk. He also played with her and made sure her water bowl was full, before he left. Paul loves dogs and it shows.
Since he was a child,Paul has hown a great interest in animals,whether family dogs, pet hermit crabs on through pony or horse back riding. Recently while job hunting and managing family computer needs he has broadened his experience in wild life photography(National Geographic Wild Life Contest) and pursued dog walking for family and neighbors. He misses our 2 family dogs whom he cared for an nurtured for 10 years.
