Riley had a great stay with Patti!

I think Patti could be better if there were fewer dogs in her care. When we dropped our dog during the holidays there were 4 or 5 more including hers. Which we didn’t know before hand and not aware that she takes as many dogs. She was informed that we will not get any phone signals majority of time while we were away therefore we didn’t get updates daily. And when we did, we were distraught to find out from her that our boy wasn’t behaving himself. We were told that he and another dog were destructive and just very physical. Therefore they were gated in the kitchen to keep it to the minimum 24/7. She sent pictures of destroyed dog beds and a few days later rescinded that it’s not from our dog but from the other. No pictures from walk in the woods but several, not daily, from a field. Understandable because it’s cold out there. Still, we did not get daily updates. Nevertheless, we didn’t get the worry-free care while we were away especially when we collected our dog and she repeatedly said he was a handful. Our dog is a 2 year old Boston terrier and beagle mix. He IS playful and loves to wrestle and sniffs everything. Maybe we are bias but we never thought that he is unruly and handful. We bring him to dog parks and other homes and there were no issues. We couldn’t place him at our previous sitter because she started working full time. It broke my heart to know that he was cordoned and slept in the kitchen while we were away when he cuddled with us most of the time in bed and during the day on the couch. I am trying to be as neutral as possible, but I guess my expectations were questionable and I just picked the wrong sitter. Either way this is what my dog went through when we were away.
