I started Doggie Digz in late 2014. I decided to start boarding dogs in my home after many years of trying to find a suitable place to board Chelsea--no kennels, no cages and lots of love and attention. Doggie Digz is a premium dog boarding service geared toward discerning dog owners like me who don't want to leave their furry loved ones just anywhere. We are not a high volume dog boarding business to ensure that every dog gets the personalized love and attention they deserve. A typical day at Doggie Digz begins with a delicious breakfast (provided by you) and served in the way your pup likes it. Each day we go for a walk or go to the dog park, whichever your pooch prefers. When we return we have a large, fully-fence yard for the pups to romp. The dogs also have the free run of the house as to where they'll hang out and where to sleep. When dinner time is over we cozy up by the fireplace in the winter or enjoy sitting on the deck in the summer. When we are ready for bedtime your dog selects where they want to sleep--in their own bed, in our bedroom, or even on the bed. Your dog will feel like they're pampered just like they are at home. In June of this year my new Golden Retriever puppy Ginger joined the Doggie Digz family. She has already become a great co-host and makes all of the dogs feel welcome and at home. For the safety of all the dogs, a meet & greet and current vaccination records are required prior to a vacay. The meet & greet is a perfect time to talk about any quirks your dog may have so I am aware of them if the situation arises (for example, occasional accidents, marking indoors, barking, aggression, separation anxiety, fear of getting into cars, etc.). Dogs must be on flea medication. Please have your dog freshly bathed prior to drop off for the health and safety of all the animals.
