Pet care experience
Dogs and cats have been part of my life and to be unconditionally loved by a pet is a high honour ( love diminished a bit when my hamster bit me!) We bred and showed Great Danes and Toy Pomeranians as well as horses and cattle on our farm. I am a retired marine biologist and have done courses on and have been trained in animal behavior. I enjoy walking and to have a furry pet with me, snuffling around, is very satisfying. I am a responsible, mature lady with an amateur's interest in veterinary science who can be trusted to enter a client's home to feed and comfort their pets, provide company when these pets are left alone, as well as exercise them even in the safety of their own homes.

Patsy was a wonderful sitter for our cat, Micia, over Christmas. Patsy was very attentive and thoughtful and was more than happy to go above and beyond to make sure Micia was settled and happy while we were away
Patsy was friendly, attentive and patient with me and my furry friend. She even seemed okay with my cat scratching her during their first meeting. All instructions (including administering injections) were followed perfectly and I received daily updates on how things were going. My cat looks as good as when I left her and my home was undisturbed. Crucially, when there was travel disruption, Patsy gladly agreed to visit and care for my pet in the likelihood I would be delayed. Can’t recommend Patsy enough - she will keep your pet safe, fed, healthy and happy.

Patsy was great with our dog Jenny, dropping in to take her out regularly while we were away for a couple of days. She was very reliable and caring and kept us informed of how Jenny was getting on. I would highly recommend Patsy.

Information Patsy D. would like to know about your pet
I would need to know if the dog is fully or part socialised, if it is scared of or friendly towards other dogs. I would need to know it likes children as some definitely do not and if it knows recall signals well enough to allow it off the lead. I have walked in the mountains with my three Danes and carried tired Poms back home when they have insisted on joining me. Working dogs are a fun challenge ( and a lot of exercise) and I am happy to take both the big and the small as well as the lazy and the crazy breeds.
A typical day
Most dogs have a special toy or ball that they like to play with, chase and hide. I would preferably get to a park so the dog becomes energized with wind in its fur and sparkly eyes when its treat bag is rattled. If it needs continuance with training, I can do that too, but a good sniff around is often all they need.
