My wife and I Fostered for the Illinois Bird dog Rescue and Midwest Lab Rescue for 6-7 yrs. At one point having three as well as our own two.We also did some transport for out of state rescues and home visits for newly adopted dogs. We recently lost one of our 2 dogs after 16 years. He was that once in a life time guy. He knew when you were sick or sad and would put his paw on your arm or leg to try to comfort you. Everybody who met "Larry" loved him. He had his own unique personality. We miss him beyond words. We still have our beautiful 11 yr old Lab Belle and treasure our remaining days with her. We could never replace "Larry", but we can still extend our care to other dogs in his memory.
