Dogs have been a part of my life since as long as I can remember. I strive to become an ethologist (study of animal behavior) at 15 I began training dogs for hunting. This is what started my interest in studying ethology. I specialize in hounds and large breed dogs and is mostly my preference for care. I can teach the basics as well as advanced commands and working dog skills (trailing, agility, worked with herding some). My goal through this is for your dog to enjoy their stay with us. This is a vacation for them if that's the option you choose. I will treat them as if they were my own and always follow instructions to a T. Every weekend and some weekdays we always go hiking, swimming, for car rides or nature trails and sometimes camping. I walk my two dogs 2 miles daily. One is a 7 year old beagle and the other is a lab/Shiba Inu mix about 5-7 years old. She was a rescue with an abusive past but you would never know it now. She's come a long ways and I'm very proud of her. I want to share this experience with yours and hope to train and teach something along the way. I can focus on specific problems and areas like on/off leash control. Stubbornness and over excitement. Retrieving items or toys. For me this isn't even about money. I get pleasure in just being able to work with many different dogs. Nearly all money made goes directly to training, gas, treats and donations to the Asheville Humane Society. I use only positive reinforcement training. I hope to better my future career and improve the quality of both you and your best friends lives.
