Pet care experience
Hi there! I grew up in a house with collies, golden retrievers, and mixed breeds. I've been helping to take care of my family's multiple dogs for as long as I can remember. I began walking and sitting with Rover back in 2016, when I had regular walking arrangements in the Maple-Ash neighborhood as well as in central Tempe. Right now I also care for small mammals, like my three ratties! I'm used to walking and caring for big dogs, little dogs, and in-between dogs; friendly dogs and skittish dogs; energetic pups and couch potatoes. I love to play and cuddle with pups! Current availability: M-Th before 8:30am and after 5:30pm F before 8:30am and after 12:30pm Sat-Sun all day most weekends (house sitting available most nights)
Reviews
I've been using Patricia's dog walking for only a week, but so far I am very impressed. The first time she met my puppy Forest I could tell she really loves dogs, and it was nice to find someone who is looking for more than a job in dog walking. Patricia is an excellent communicator, always writes nice "Rover cards," and has been very reliable. Forest is definitely happy getting a break in the middle of my long work day! I would definitely recommend Patricia.
Patricia was wonderful with our two dogs, while we were away for the weekend! She sent pictures of them each day, which may not sound like much, but we really appreciate seeing them happy while we are gone. I would definitely refer her to anyone looking for a dog sitter.
Patricia has been great! She took the time to come to our home and meet Marley and Comet and get to know them and us. They had their first walk together yesterday and Marley and Comet both really enjoyed it. In fact, Comet ran around the house looking for Patricia after she left, he missed her :). I would recommend Patricia to any pet/dog owner looking for a reliable and compassionate person to spend time with their pet.
Patricia is fantastic! I recently adopted a pup and needed some help walking her while I was away at work! Maisley got along with her right away and Patricia made sure that I was updated on how she was doing!

Information Patricia R. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog is friendly or shy, and active or passive, or if your dog has any quirky habits I should be aware of so that I can provide the best care. Let me know what commands your dog knows how to follow so that I can use and reinforce them. Any breed is welcome!
A typical day
I love taking long brisk walks through the neighborhood and nearby parks. I believe it's healthy and invigorating for dogs to be able to see & smell their environment and get that sensory stimulation. I love to play with active dogs--fetch, tug-of-war, and chase are tried-and-true classics! =) I'm also happy to prepare Kong-type treat-dispensing toys, stuffed with whole foods or healthy foods, if that's something you and your dog would like. And I would be delighted to brush or comb your dog, even if they shed a lot! ;) Physical contact is important for animals of all species.
