Pat's Pampered Pets
Pet care experience
We have no dogs or cats of our own anymore, and we miss having pets around. (We have owned a golden retriever, a beagle, a boston terrier, and 3 bichons, several mutts as well as cats.) Where it says that we only keep 1 dog at a time, that means as many dogs as are in the same family. For (2 or more) dogs in the same family, we charge $75 for every 24-hour period. One dog is $50 for every 24-hour period. We have a nice, fenced back yard (see photo) and also a walking path a few blocks away. My husband and I enjoy pampering pooches of all types and sizes from toy yorkies to Bernese mountain dogs (like the one in the photo that we have sat with for years). We never crate a pet unless the pet is more comfortable in its own crate and only if it prefers it's crate to roaming free. Our house is pet proof and we let them have the run of the house. We let them lounge on our distressed leather sofa with us; and small dogs can sleep with us on the end of our bed. Large dogs can sleep on a quilt at the foot of our bed. In the spring and summer, it's fun to let the dogs dine "al fresco" (i.e. have picnics in the back yard with placemats.) We like to keep your pet on the exact same waking, eating, walking and sleeping schedule that he/she is accustomed to. Since my husband had his triple bypass surgery, he walks 4 miles every day in the neighborhood walking park and loves to take a dog companion along. We are retired and at least one of us is always at home. WE SPECIALIZE IN DOGS WITH SEPARATION ANXIETY as we had a rescue dog (Bichon) with that diagnosis who lived to be over 20 years old! I just purchased an off-the floor cot for those older dogs who have arthritis or joint problems. (see last photo)
Reviews
Our senior rescue dog, Ellie, has several health issues including anxiety, hip dysplasia, and incontinence. After seeing that Pat specializes in caring for dogs with anxiety, we knew she would be a great fit for Ellie. Pat exceeded our expectations by keeping Ellie on her regular routine and administering her medications three times each day. Ellie is a finicky eater and Pat even cooked scrambled eggs and chicken to get her to eat. We received regular updates and photos which gave us peace of mind while we were traveling. Pat is a true dog lover and prioritized Ellie's comfort and well-being during her stay. We appreciated her patience, attention to detail, and flexibility and highly recommend her to anyone whose dog has special needs and may require a little extra care. We will continue to use Pat in the future and we are so grateful for her! Thank you, Pat! You are amazing!
Patricia was awesome. She took fabulous care of Barnaby Even with all the extra care and maintenance he required. She gave him lots of love and opened her home up to him To roam around and even go on the furniture if he desired. I would not hesitate to use Patricia again in the future.
We were very pleased with Patricia. We had to go out of town on a short notice and found her on Rover. Our Giz is seventeen years old and it was important that he stay with someone that cared for a older dog. Very sweet and kind lady and Giz was right at home. It is so comforting to know Giz is with someone that loves animals and very in tune with their needs. We will definitely ask for Patricia again.
Pat was amazing!!! It was wonderful experience for our Kobe who is 5 months old and first time away from home. We will surely leave him again with her.
