Dogs have had a special place in my life from the day I was born. My family included Beagles, Irish Setters, Great Danes, Huskies and mixed breeds in the home for years. My most recent dog-care adventure was walking 3 small dogs together. We became fast friends after just one visit! One of the pups was a little nervous at first, he growled and did not want me to come near. I broke through his fear, though, with a reward system using Milk Bones when he would allow me to approach and he could see the other dogs getting rewarded so he learned pretty quickly. With patience and kindness, he came to trust me. I still miss those sweet pups but I know the next dog I care for might be right around the corner to fill a spot in my heart.
