My husband John & I are a mature couple with years of pet care experience between us. We have been pet owners all our lives. We have discontinued dog boarding for now, but plan to start it up again in the future. When we start it up again, your pet will receive lots of loving care. We will take care of him/her as if they were our own. There is no extra charge for walks during your pets’ stay with us. He/she will be brushed and given massages daily. The massages are especially helpful for older dogs’ joints & muscles. We are dedicated to making sure your furry friend has a happy and stress-free stay with us! During the summer, we also offer overnight pet care in your home. For some pets, there is no place like home, and we will be happy to accommodate you! About this sitter: I have been a pet owner & animal lover all my life, and learned at a young age how to care for pets. I was also a pet sitter/dog walker for another pet care company for 8 years. (References available). John & I have had dogs, cats, fish, birds, mice, chinchillas, and many other critters throughout the years. Why I love dog sitting: My love for dogs began when I was a child. We had a terrier growing up and also a Poodle who had 4 puppies! As an adult, there was my beautiful German Shepherd Cheta. Then there was our sweet cocker spaniel Jessie; and several years later our darling Sonia – a Lab/Jack Russell terrier mix, who ran like the wind, and gave us unconditional love. Sonia was 15 years old when she died of kidney failure. That was five years ago. We look forward to lavishing all our love on your pets! About my yard: I have discontinued dog boarding for now, but plan to start it up again in the future. We have a huge fenced-in backyard – part grass and part patio. The grassy area isn’t fancy, but absolutely perfect for a dog. We have many great memories of our dog Sonia playing and racing around our safe & secure yard. My experience administering medication: Yes, we are experienced giving insulin injections and pill administration.
