Lot's of Love @ Pat's Pampered Pets

Pet care experience

If you're like me, your pets are family. When you can't be home with them, you want them taken care of with the same love and attention you would give them. The needs of your pets are of the utmost importance and they will be treated with love and care. You can enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing your pets are safe & attended to. You decide what special attention your pet requires, whether it is walks, hands-on time, special treats, etc. My goal is to make your dog feel at home and reduce any anxiety from separation of you and your pet. Why I love dog sitting Having always loved animals, I've never been without a dog or a cat in my home. Although one of my current dogs was extremely anti-social when she came to me, she thrived on training, and is now a working therapy dog. I spent as much time as was necessary to turn her around. Her companion came as a rescue, also with issues. He has become the best dog anyone could wish for. My trick is to use only positive reinforcement, building trust and confidence in the dog. Meet my pets I have 3 Papillons of my own, who get along well with other dogs. One is a certified working therapy dog, one is a rescue, and the baby is now one year old. I also foster Papillons from time to time. We have a cat now that has come to believe she is part of the dog pack. I have renamed her Ima Dog. She came from a feral litter but has settled down into the household and is quite a pack member. About my yard The front courtyard is fully fenced and gated with a double locking deadbolt. Even so, I never leave the dogs (and cats) out there without supervision. The back courtyard is full enclosed by the house on 2 sides and block wall on 2 sides. The doggie door is available and can be monitored from all parts of the house, although I'm almost always out there with the pets. I have plenty of x-pens for the utmost protection of very shy or young dogs. There is a cat in the home and she is adept at determining whether or not a visiting pet is suitable for play. When she is not sure she retreats to her cat tree. All my dogs are accustomed to having visiting cats in the home and get along very well with them. I am fully comfortable with administering medications, both oral and injections.

Lilly had a great time at Pat's! This was her first sleepover so we were a little nervous but Pat made us feel very comfortable during our meet-n-greet and Lilly got along great with her dogs. When it was time to drop her off, she ran inside like she was greeting old friends. When we picked her up, we could tell she had tons of fun and was tired from all the playing. We will definitely be using Pat again and I would highly recommend her.

Pat and her papillons are wonderful. Lilly stayed with Pat 2+ years ago and Pat stilled had her contact sheet and remembered Lilly's personality. Pat sends daily updates with photos.

A typical day

Whenever the weather permits, we can go for walks, based on the needs and suitability for each dog. I'm aware that some dogs are not suited various activities and rely on you, the owner, to convey any special needs. All the dogs sleep in the bedroom with me. They can be in their own kennel if that's their preference, or they can decide which of the many dog beds they would like. Some like to sleep in bed with me if that's their custom at their home. I take great effort to make your dog's experience as much like their home as possible. I spend most of each day with the dogs. They let me know how much attention they need at any given time. Time allowing, and your dog's inclination to learn, I will teach him/her fun tricks to impress your family and friends.
