Will give your dogs my whole heart!
Pet care experience
Hi, My name is Pat, it's great to meet you! I think it is important to know who is taking care of your fur-child(ren), so a bit about me: I'm 25, I was born in Thailand but have grown up in Canada, I graduated from UBC with a bachelor's in psychology, and I work with animals and children on a daily basis. I find joy in caring for others, hence my occupations in a petcare and childcare, and am proud to say I'm quite good at it! I love all animals but have a soft spot for dogs. I have roughly 8 years of experience as a dog owner, and over 3 years of experience as a professional in the pet care industry. Moreover, I have helped foster and train an assistance dog named Gracie. I am certified in pet CPR/first aid and am knowledgeable about general pet care. The safety and well-being of your pet are of the utmost importance to me. In the summer I will check the pavement to see how hot it is and carry water for your dog, and in the winter I am cautious of salted paths and sharp ice. I single-handedly trained my family dogs and helped train an assistance dog, so I can help teach your dog some basic commands and/or continue their current training on our walks. I believe in positive reinforcement and am also experienced in working with reactive dogs. I will be treating your pet as if they are my own, so there will be no holding back with affection and care. The love I will give your pet will rival your own because unfortunately for me, I quickly grow attached. Your pet will undoubtedly see me as the fun aunt as I will take them on adventures, sneak them extra treats, and crochet them bandanas and hats. My time with your pet will be spent accordingly to their needs. From cuddle sessions to fetch in the park, I can accommodate!

I live in an apartment where your pets will have full roam and access to furniture. An extra large crate is available for them to use if they prefer to have their own space but they will never be crated unless requested by the owner. Dogs bark and that's okay! However, dogs that bark excessively (e.g. from separation anxiety) will not be accepted for boarding services as I need to be considerate of my neighbors.

Information Pat K. would like to know about your pet
Your pet’s: - Allergies - Health concerns - Behaviour at home (do they have separation anxiety, are they destructive, etc.?) - Behaviour around other dogs - Walking style (e.g., sniffer or tugger).
A typical day
My time with your pets will be spent accordingly to their needs! From cuddle sessions to fetch in the park, I can accommodate. Your pet will be treated as if they are my own so there will be no holding back with affection and care. I frequent the False Creek sea wall for dog walks and sometimes walk my dogs all the way to Yaletown or Granville Island. I sometimes take my younger dogs to pet-friendly indoor spaces (Canadian Tire, Michaels, and Winners) to develop their manners and socialization skills.

Availability
I’m currently working part-time away from home so pets boarded or sat must be able to be left alone comfortably for a minimum of 5 hours. It is rare that I am away from home any longer than that period, but if I am, full disclosure will be provided. A minimum of 2 half-hour or hour-long walks, and 2-3 additional potty breaks will be provided depending on your dog's needs for boarding and sitting services.
