Paolo is the go-to dog sitter in our friend group when we have to go out of town. I’ve seen him interact small breed shelter dogs, including Fennec and Izzie and a large breed shelter dog, Duke. They all adore Paolo because he meets each dog where they are emotionally, taking into account each one’s history, age and health. He understands in the absence of the owner, each dog can become anxious and he goes out of his way to ensure each dog feels loved and cared for. Whether that’s making sure Duke has his diet sensitive sweet potato treats after a walk or carefully camouflaging Izzie’s necessary medication inside a treat or paying extra attention to Fennec, who is frequently anxious due to a trauma with a previous owner. It’s incredibly sweet to watch Paolo bond with each of his canine friends as he takes care of them. They clearly love him as well. He’s incredibly organized and somehow always arrives on schedule, even in Atlanta’s frequently challenging traffic. Since they can’t type this themselves, as an advocate for Duke, Izzie and Fennec, I heartily recommend Paolo as a kind, patient, empathic and punctual dog sitter.
