Our pets are important parts of our families. I grew up around dogs: purebreds, strays, etc., and have had dogs of various types most of my life, including mixes, labs, newfoundlands, a terrier/chihuahua mix, poodles, a schnoodle, etc. In terms of house/dog sitting, I have spent a month with a pair of cocker spaniels and their litter of newborn puppies, weeks with a trio of Bedlington terriers with special diet needs, and so on. I have cared for all age groups, from delivering puppies to senior dogs with health issues like hip dysplasia, incontinence, blindness, and other challenges.
