I am a compassionate and responsible pet sitter with 4 years of hands on experience caring for client's dogs and cats. In addition to the basic needs of watering, feeding and letting out, I also handled a variety of pet care services, including walking, overnight care, pet taxi and medication administration. In my previous pet jobs, I would stay with pets for entire weeks if necessary. One of my more challenging pet sitting jobs was when I was responsible for caring for a female dachshund that had just undergone back surgery. The dachshund couldn't put weight on her hind legs so I was required to put her hind quarters in a sling contraption to enable her to walk whenever she needed to be mobile to either eat, drink or go to the bathroom. It was critical that I administered required medication at specific times and kept strict attention to the pet to observe any side effects so I could take action accordingly. Just to give you an example of the kind of pet person I am... I am the person that goes to a dinner party at a friend's house and end up paying as much attention to the dog or cat of the house as I do the friend, without being inconsiderate, of course. Pets, especially dogs, seem to be drawn to me. I feel that pets shouldn't be ignored and deserve to have quality attention as well. I love all of our furry friends and will do whatever I can to ensure the safety and health of any animal, anytime or anywhere. In fact, I make donations to the ASPCA whenever I can so I can help in some small way, to save the lives of animals everywhere. I will care for your furry family members as if they were my own. I promise! I am available mornings and afternoons and would consider evenings if necessary.
