Hello! I’m a caring, flexible dog sitter ready to give your dog a loving, warm home. Since I work in the mornings, I am home most afternoons and weekends, so I have lots of time to care for your dog. I often joke that I like dogs almost more than I like people, but in reality dogs have been a constant source of love and joy throughout my life. Since my dogs remained with my parents and brother when I moved away, I love being able to take care of other people’s beloved pooches. Dogs have been part of my family for my whole life. Once, we found ourselves taking in three dogs (two chihuahuas and a lovely pitbull named Hemingway) who were no longer able to stay in their home. The local shelter was a high-kill shelter who immediately put down Pit Bulls, so we took them in to live with us and our two pooches who were already part of the family — Kiko and Marble. This experience taught me a lot about dogs and their different temperaments, and well as how to be able to care for (and more importantly, keep happy and healthy) numerous dogs at the same time. Additionally, one of the chihuahuas had a skin condition and needed specialized care and lots of one-on-one attention. Hemingway and the twins (as we called them) stayed with us for almost a year until we were able to find them loving forever homes. I love to make art. My art focus is sculpture and ceramics — I love to work with my hands. I also studied music for a while so I play a few instruments, sing, and dance. I also have a wonderful fiance who I love spending time with. He is quite the dog lover himself, and would love to spend some quality time with your pup! I have three roommates who all love dogs. If I am away for a moment or running a small errand, there will always be someone kind and caring to give your dog some love and affection. Although I love all kinds of pooches, bulldogs have a special place in my heart. I have had a few rescued dogs in my life so I also know how to care for dogs who may be on the shy side or need some extra love.
