I boarded my two dogs with Pamela while my family was out of town the week prior to Thanksgiving. The one positive I have to say is Pam was accommodating regarding drop off. She allowed me to bring my dogs over the night before we left town and didn't charge me for it since she and her husband leave the house early in the morning during the week for work. I think she needs to update her profile to indicate that there isn't someone home all day (during the school year). I think my dogs were fine during their stay but I didn't receive a single update or photo during their time there, except one reply when I sent a note asking how it was all going. She is very quick to respond but I feel like she should have taken the initiative to provide updates on their stay. Maybe I have been spoiled by our previous hosts in other places? Her profile says they will walk the dogs 2-3x a day but I have no idea if they got walked at all because I have the impression that they are very busy during the school week. Usually people use dogvacay because they care about their pets like a member of their family and appreciate notes and photos as to how they're doing during their stay- I think it would be nice for them to provide some in the future. While I don't have any other complaints as to how they were treated (as I don't know how the stay was) I will probably try to find another host who has a less busy lifestyle to watch my dogs while I am gone next time.
