Animal Lovers Working from Home

Pet care experience

*WHAT WE OFFER* Our whole family dynamic revolves around our pets. We live on 3 acres of land with our 2 medium size dogs, Kepler and Kyiv, and we take them daily to Mom's house where they play with her 2 small dogs, Frida and Diego. Alex works from home and, along with Mom, he provides constant care, stimulation, training and cuddles to our dogs and occasional foster dogs. Both, our farm and Mom's house have large fenced in yards and our dogs are never left unsupervised. One of Mom dogs has hip issues and requires physical therapy and medication that we provide at home on a daily basis. Our youngest dog is still being trained so you will see us with walking around with clicker and a bag of treats. Pam is a experienced cat foster mom who has rescued, socialized and nursed over 50 cats and kittens in the Memphis Area, on top of lovingly caring for our 3 own cats who we drove all the way here from Mexico City, when Pam accepted a job in healthcare in Memphis, TN. We firmly believe that pets are family and they go where we go. We are very particular about the care our dogs and cats get, and because we like to travel we have struggled to find the perfect boarding place that truly gives us peace of mind. We have been lucky enough to always have friends or family that love their pets as much as we do and that are happy to fulfill our own separation anxiety needs and that is exactly what we want to give to all the families that trust us with the care of their fur babies. We believe that constant communication and updates as well as accommodating for every need and quirk each pet and owner have will set us apart from traditional boarding. Your dog needs Chopin played on order to sleep well? Downloading it to my Spotify. Your cat only eats at 3:23 a.m. and needs bonito flakes sprinkled on top? Setting alarm. You want a GPS collar to track your pets every move? You can use one of our dogs collars and track them 24/7. You'd like hourly updates? You're getting them either way!

Pamela and Alejandro were so wonderful that I don't know where to begin. Our dog, a very playful Golden Retriever puppy, had the time of his life running around their yard with their fantastic dogs who immediately accepted our dog as a friend. We had never seen our dog THAT comfortable around new people and new dogs and that comfort was instantaneously sparked during our meet and greet. Pamela and Alejandro (as well as their wonderful family members) gave our dog lots of pets, hugs, and love during his 2 week stay and helped him deal with being away from us. They also were VERY attentive to the small details, behaviors, quirks, and preferences of our dog to make his stay comfortable. They sent several texts and photos everyday and regularly sent videos of them and their awesome dogs playing with our dog. We cannot say enough good things about Pamela and Alejandro. It was hard to be away from our little guy, but they made it as easy as possible; we couldn't have dreamed of a better experience boarding our dog. They were so great with our dog that we joked he might not want to come home with us! We liked them all so much that even though we live in a different state hours away, we won't hesitate to drive out to make sure our dog can stay with them again the next time we have a trip we can't take our dog on. Pamela, Alejandro, their family, and their dogs were truly exceptional and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Pamela is a standout petsitter with an incredibly genuine love for animals. She worked actively in the local fostering community for a long time and has so many toys and so much knowledge about both cats and dogs that it's easy to feel relieved you found a safe and happy space for your pet when you drop them off. She sent us pictures of our teenage cat everyday with videos of play as well as gushed enthusiastically to us about how handsome and good of a boy he was while boarding. Our cat came back healthy and happy. When we alerted her we were first-time-cat owners and asking for advice she offered up she noticed our cat was a "snake toy" cat which was why he wasn't interacting with the other toys we had gotten him - we bought the toy she mentioned and she was right! Little details like this, plus the videos and photos daily, were so appreciated and indicaive of the care and knowledge that make her service unique in the area

I highly recommend Pam for all pet care services! She has extensive experience in caring for cats and dogs of all ages and breeds, and she is skilled in all areas of pet care, including medication administration. Her genuine love and care make her treat every animal as if they were her own, ensuring they receive top-notch attention and affection. I wouldn’t hesitate to have Pam care for my pets!

Safety, trust & environment

*SAFETY FIRST* We have fenced yards both at our place and at Mom's house. If you do not feel comfortable with us transporting your fur baby from one house to another then we will stay in whichever house suites best for the situation. In the car our dogs use a dog seatbelt and the drive is pretty short. Our dogs and yours will be under 24/7 supervision because both Mom and Alex are at home all day. Alex likes to have short training session with our dogs and foster dogs and Mom enjoys sitting with them outside in the yard. Our dogs are used to feeding schedules but we can adapt any dietary habits. Mom is on the grandmother side of the spectrum and will spoil our dogs with veggies and treats but won't if not allowed. One of our dogs is crate trained and the other is not so we will do whatever you prefer with yours. We won't take your dog for a walk unless you authorize it. Either way they will have plenty of exercise at our house and chasing around with our pack.

Information Pamela & Alejandro P. would like to know about your pet

Is your pet spayed/neutered? How do they interact with other dogs? How do they interact with cats? Are they house trained? Will they need pee pads? Are they crate trained? What do they need to sleep comfortably? Will they try to bolt when I open the doors? Will they try to jump a 4.5 foot fence? Are they allowed to ride in the car with us? Are they afraid of the car or get car sick? Are there any food allergies? What is their feeding schedule? Do they need medication? Kind? Dosage?

A typical day

*FUN TIMES* If allowed by the owner, we go on daily walks in the forest in our property. Depending on the weather the dogs go swimming in our pond. We are building a digging pit because Kepler loves to dig! Frisbee and ball fetching every few hours because Kyiv's energy levels require it. Playing indoors with toys, ropes and food puzzles. If our dogs are too hyped and can't go out for whatever reason we teach them tricks or play hide and seek to provide mental stimulation (it tires them down faster than a walk!) For puppies or if our guest will be around for several days, we'll probably do some training (sit, roll over, spin, shake) because its fun.

*THE PACK'S SCHEDULE* This is the daily schedule of our family, any 4-legged guest is included in this routine unless they have specific needs or restrictions that require tailored care. Every morning we wake up, open the door to our youngest dog's crate (our oldest is not crate trained) and all 4 have a cuddle session in bed along with the cats. We then have coffee in the back porch while supervising the dogs' morning break. We feed all dogs and cats, change litter boxes, refill water fountains, give medications and hop into the car to go to Mom's house. Alex and the dogs stay there so he can work on his Masters degree (Internet at Mom's is faster) and all 4 dogs (ours and Mom's) have unlimited access to the fenced-in backyard under Mom's supervision. If the weather or medical conditions of the dogs don't allow for unlimited access then they get potty breaks every couple hours and the living room becomes a playground (thank goodness for sofa covers). Throughout the day Alex takes brakes to leash-train our youngest dog and to train our occasional foster dog. When Pam gets home, she handles any medical needs: pills, sub-q fluids, physical therapy for Mom's dog, etc. We then take our dogs and hop back into the car and go home. The boys get 2 more breaks/play sessions and the cats join us for our Netflix and chill time. Right before bed we have a brushing session with the dogs (doodles coats) and laser playtime with the cats. For bedtime, whoever is crate trained goes to their crate, whoever is not comes cuddle with us. If we have a dog-guest that is not cat friendly, our cats have their own room. We do not foster and board at the same time, and will not board pets from different families at the same time unless they have met each other before.
