Lifetime pet lover. Lots of TLC!

Pet care experience

Your buddy(s) will enjoy a home in a peaceful setting with a large, safe, fenced-in back yard in a quiet neighborhood. A large dog yard to romp in with plenty of TLC and play time by day, and a warm safe brand new separate kennel (giant doggie living room) to curl up and relax in by night. We also now board cats too! Our new kitty resort was just completed and is a separate house where cats can enjoy their own private kitty condo or be free to climb and relax outside their condo watching birds and squirrels in nearby trees. Plenty of windows and light. Enjoy our little hidden oasis near the Oakland, CA Zoo. About this sitter: Critter Pet Care provides East Bay pet owners with professional dog walking, home pet sitting and pet visits, house sitting and loving care of your “critters” great and small. Our number one priority is to keep your pet safe and cared for with the utmost TLC. No need to worry about your pets while you're away. We'll treat them like our own! Life long pet lover and companion from growing up on a farm full of varied animals. Certified with Pet First Aid and CPR. Ongoing classes in Pet Care. Why I love dog sitting Lifelong love for dogs. I grew up on a farm and dogs were a big part of our every day life (as well as many other animals too). Being outdoors and caring for dogs, cats, horses, and cattle gave me a deep appreciation for animals, and how special they are. Dogs in particular can be very close friends. Cats are very unique and special too. About my yard Large fenced-in yard, larger than a tennis court with 6 ft. fence. Slight slope with grass / dirt. Plenty of room to run! The yard has 2 separate houses. One for dog boarding and one for cat boarding.

Loki was a happy puppy staying with Pam. She helped us work on puppy training and socialization. Her huge backyard was great for tiring out our little puppy. I would absolutely book with Pam again. Thank you!

Pam was so great with our 2 retrievers! Since we were new to the Oakland area, we were somewhat nervous leaving our 2 pups for almost a week. Pam was really wonderful with daily text updates and pictures of our little guys playing, fetching, and running-her backyard offers a great exercise area. Our dogs even got a little turkey and pumpkin for the Thanksgiving holiday-such a treat :) Definitely recommend to others!

Information Pam S. would like to know about your pet

I love all dog breeds. I would need to know about the dog's health and behaviours. Do they have any allergies, health red flags to watch for, specific behaviours to recognize and the triggers, eating patterns, exercise preferences, sleeping habits. What do they like in general. What do they not like in general. Are they good with kids, cats, other dogs and animals?

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks Walking outside of the backyard romps, is also a normal part of my service and normal part of your dog's day. After all, dogs that get plenty of exercise during the day sleep better at night so it's a win-win for both of us! Your dog's sleeping arrangement Inside my new dog kennel which is 400 square feet and is more like a giant doggie living room. Time I'll spend with your dog I work from home so am with your dog all day. In addition to backyard romps and fetching, I also walk your dog around various neighborhoods. Time I'll spend with your dog With overnight care at your home, We usually arrive around 4-5pm and stay until 11am the next day. This allows plenty of 1 on 1 time, and room for exercising, playing etc. We try to keep their routine as close to their normal routine as much as possible. Extra house-sitting services Watering plants, yard care, bring in the mail, emptying the garbage, bringing in deliveries, rotating house lights, and making a house looked secure and lived in are all on the list.
