Pet care experience
I've been a pet owner for 30 years and a dedicated sitter for five years. Families I've worked with quickly adopted me, relying on me to care for a family member who's unable to travel. These pets have a very special place in my heart. Providing this service has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my lifetime.
Reviews
Pam was fabulous! I could tell she really cared about the pups and made sure they had everything they needed. We will definitely be reaching out to Pam again in the future!
Pam is amazingly attentive to our fuzzy butted family members. Holly
We don't know what we would have done without Pam! She was available on short notice, which was awesome. She was great at listening and super attentive to all of our requests, even the silly ones. She provided us with frequent updates and pictures, so we always knew how things were going. It was my first time using Rover, but Pam was super reassuring. Don't hesitate to give her a try!
Pam P. is an amazing pet sitter and I recommend her without reservation! I was a bit nervous to pick a sitter from Rover but I hit the jackpot with Pam! I could not have asked for a more kind, caring person to stay with my dog Susie and kitty Charlotte! Pam was very proactive about setting up a meet and greet and confirming our departure and arrival home. She sent pictures and messages to reassure me that everyone was just fine at home while we were away. The comfort and piece of mind of having a great pet sitter is priceless! I will definitely use Pam again for all my pet sitting needs!! ❤️???
About Pam P.
Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I'll meet with you before your trip to hear about your pet's routines and preferences. During the sit I'll maintain those routines as much as possible to keep your pets comfy and gain their trust. I love sending you pictures and checking in to help keep you connected!
Information Pam P. would like to know about your pet
How do they get along with other dogs? Are they friendly toward people? Any medications or allergies? What are your feeding and snack policies? Are areas of the home (beds / couches) or yard (gardens / pools) off limits? Any non-functioning doors or gates? May we take a ride in the car for more variety in walks? Any quirky behaviors (e.g., can they open the fridge; do car rides affect them)? Where does your pet prefer to sleep? What are their favorite toys and activities? After a sit, shall I replace anything I used (bedding, food)? Any additional tasks other than care of the pet (watering plants, retrieving mail, light cleaning)? What's your preferred communication method (for updates / photos)?
A typical day
I observe closely to discover which activities and toys they enjoy most, then engage them with those (while testing others!) during playtime. If they prefer variety, I also love to make their walks more interesting and exciting by finding new sites and scents.

Availability
I'm semi-retired so my schedule is very flexible. Your scheduling needs are my priority. (Travel plans are complicated enough without worrying about care for your pets at home.) My partner (another lifelong dog lover) also can help with multiple pets, diverse walks, and any special needs (of the pet or the house).
