Pet care experience
For 9 years I worked as a dog + cat bather/caretaker throughout college and my current teaching career. So I am well-versed in animal behavior. I specialize in anxious pets as I own a special needs rescue myself. :) *UPDATE* My school year begins the 18th of August 2022. With teaching being as demanding as it is, I will be switching to only house sitting Friday-Sunday with clients who are understanding of my work schedule (preferably existing clients). I will resume normal house sitting, dog walking, and drop ins summer 2023. Thank you SO much to everyone who has booked me!!!

very responsive attentive walker
Paloma took great care of Zorro! He is a really high energy dog who has some trauma and she was very patient and loving and made him very very safe. She always kept me updated and sent great pics!
Paloma was great! My dog who is usually very timid and shy around new people warmed up to her quickly which made me feel at ease while I was away. She sent many updates and was very responsive!

I cannot provide care for cats in my home and would only consider dogs on a case by case basis. I rent and have roommates, which can make things tricky.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs to account for. A detailed description of their daily routine is also extremely helpful. I am very flexible with nervous dogs and cats, but in order to give them the best experience, I need to know their triggers, what makes them happy, what to avoid, etc. For dog walking, knowing if your dog is unfriendly towards other dogs and people is important for me. I would never want to place your dog in an unsafe situation. No judgement, but since I own a reactive dog myself, I know what to do to avoid potentially harmful incidents.
A typical day
I love to go on long walks to nearby trails and around city areas. I'm also an avid hiker! I would love to go on walks with your dog. I also like to visit coffee shops and take drives with the windows down! I am happy to play fetch, do puzzles, and other fun activities.

Availability
I am unfortunately currently closed for regular booking. However, next summer (2023) I will be free Monday-Sunday from the end of June to mid August. I am choosing next summer to prioritize clients that I have already booked with. There will also be times where I have my own vacations and doctors appointments (things I don't have time for as a teacher during the school year), so my schedule will not always be the same month by month.
