I’ve taken care of dogs myself since I was 14. Prior to that I helped my brothers take care of our dogs. I grew up on a farm so we had all kinds of animals. Dogs were my domain.

I start with love and affection. I make sure every pet is comfortable and knows they are being taken care of. I’m very patient and I allowed them to acclimate slowly. After that I take them outside and allow them to familiarize out there as well. The point is to make sure they’re comfortable.

A typical day
In a typical day with the dogs. I wake up and get them fed and we go for a walk. The walk depends on the dog. We have a trail we call the gauntlet. It’s a little bit longer for more active dogs. Our mango is a little on the lazy side and doesn’t need the full thing. However, we find the more active dogs love it. After that the dogs can play until it’s pee time and then more playing until supper. After supper it’s time for the night walk and then bed time.

My weeks consist of daytime, evening, and night availability. My schedule is very flexible and I can work from my home. In general I have a schedule that I adhere too. Which makes it easy to fit sitting for dogs in. I schedule their feeds and walks accordingly.
