Hi! My name is Paige and I am a student, server, and future Certified Nurse Midwife. I have had a lot of experience with animals, having owned dogs and cats my whole life as well as experience caring for and riding horses. I don't believe in yelling at pets or hitting them when they have done something "wrong". I have learned this from my own dog, Bella, whom I adopted from the shelter and learned from her behavior that she had been abused in her short 8 months before I had her. I am also an advocate for bully breeds and any breeds that have been dubbed "aggressive" as my pup is frequently subject to false assumptions, and she is not a pit bull. Anyway, in the first weeks of adopting my dog, she hadn't had the best manners and was very frightened of everything. We have successfully taught her to sit, lay down, go potty, come, stay, and walk with us off leash. She is now a very active and fun-loving dog, who has accompanied us on various cross-country trips, kayaking, and hiking. So if this is something you are interested in I can help your dog learn some of these manners-Bella may be able to assist as well :). When walking a client's dog, I like to bring my dog along if I can for some socialization and fun. If this is not something you are ok with, please don't hesitate to let me know right away. Also, my fiance accompanies me on all first-time meet and greets if in the client's home. It is simply for the reason of not wanting to go to a stranger's home alone. He is also a member of Rover. If you have any questions or concerns about this, again please don't hesitate. He may also occasionally join me on visits as we share a car. Being a student, I also work almost a full time job so please understand that my schedule is general, but not always accurate. I will always be in contact if something comes up or a change of schedule has occurred.
