Genuine and Comforting Care Giver

Pet care experience

When I was 6-years-old my family rescued a German Short-haired Pointer - we named her Brandy. She was a fun-loving energetic goofball who enjoyed tennis balls way more than your average dog. When I was 12-years-old we rescued our second dog, a Lab/Hound mix and named her Daisy. We called her a "happy cow" because she would just sit in the backyard and munch on grass for hours. Since adopting these babies, I've accompanied my parents to every vet appointment. I was also responsible for providing food and water, walks and baths, clipping their nails, and cleaning out their ears, and cleaning up their piddles. When Brandy started growing cancerous tumors (age 10), my family provided the necessary care needed to extend her life (passed at age 17). When Daisy started showing signs of allergies (age 5) we changed to grain-free, corn-free, and potato-free food alternatives. I also treated her feet and ears in addition to giving her Epson salt/medicated baths. She passed away at age 11 due to stomach cancer. May my sweet babies rest in peace and enjoy delicious dog bones in doggy heaven. Once I became a teenager, I began pet sitting for neighbors and other residents around the local area. I can provide nurturing care, shelter, bedding, food and water, walks, entertainment (toys and chases), baths, nail clipping, teeth brushing, ear cleaning, some training, and more! My fiance are I recently purchased a property in Dalton, GA (May 2019, 5.56 Acres). This is a wooded, riverside property will ample green space for roaming. I highly recommend all animals have flea/tick medication. I DO NOT HAVE A FENCED-YARD! All of my fur babies are trained to stay on the property. I can provide minor training during their stay to help influence positive behavior. Today, my fur family includes a Cocker Spaniel-Poodle mix named Buddy (13 yr), a Lab/Golden mix named Dolly - that came with our newly purchased home - (13 yr), and three calico cats named Nala, Zelda, and Luna (2 yr, 1 yr, 2 mo). We rescued Nala at the Atlanta Humane Society. We found Zelda at our apartment complex dragging her hind legs across an asphalt parking lot - she fractured her 3rd Lumbar Vertebra and could not walk on her own. She was in a wheelchair and diapers until her spinal cord healed. Luna was rescued from a co-workers property - she is believed to be a runt neglected at birth. This is just a little background about my life as a caretaker. When I'm not looking after my babies, I am hiking, camping, and kayaking with my fiance. We love gardening, canning, and cooking our food from scratch. We also enjoy traveling and seeing what this world has to offer. We enjoy experiencing/learning about different cultures including their values and beliefs. Thank you for taking the time to read our introduction. We look forward to meeting you puppers, doggos, and kitkats! 🐕🐈🐾

Our new puppy loved her visit with Paige! Paige is a great communicator, very flexible, and took great care of our 10 week old baby! Cali walked and played and took a nap. Paige’s home is the perfect setting for a dog to have a wonderful time. And we got cute pics of how she spent her time:) We will definitely be back. Thank you Paige for a very nice day!
