ABOUT ME: I've grown up and cared for dogs throughout the entirety of my life. Since moving away from my parents I've missed having a dog around and am constantly looking for one to watch or walk. I've always lived with very active pets, which works out because I'm a very active person! I love playing and going on long walks. It doesn't matter the age or type of dog, I have experience with both! MY CARE BACKSTORY: My dachshund was paralyzed a couple of years ago due to a genetic disorder, and I had to learn to take care of him in a way I'd never encountered before. I learned how to follow diligent schedules including medicines, physical therapies, and exercises. After 10 years of rehabilitation, our little pup has regained partial mobility in his legs and walks with swagger. We also adopted an abuse-rescue dog so I'm aware of how to deal with shy and skittish pets. MY EXPERIENCE: I lived in Los Angeles for 6 years and had a strong client base that became my family. I spent up to 6 months at a time with certain pups and I learned how to manage anxiety due to separation, special diets, allergies, habits and anything else that comes with having a pet! I worked in the hospitals for several years and learned point of care. Even though I cared for humans, I was surprised to learn it also taught me a lot about caring for animals. I have also cared for very elderly animals with intense special needs, including end-of-life care.
