Experienced with reactive dogs!

Pet care experience

I am currently taking a break from work, so I am available whenever to help out you and your pooch(es) with your dog-sittimg, walking, and visiting needs. I've cared for horses, dogs, cats, and various other farm animals for a combined total of nearly 20 years now. Currently, I take care of my hound mix, Odie, and my cat, Franklin. Odie and I love to go for adventures just as much as we love hanging out on the couch watching TV, so we are perfect for hosting dogs of any activity level. Franklin is incredibly social and loves meeting new dogs as well. After many years of finding joy in working with trainers to help my own dog through anxiety and reactivity, I've decided to pursue dog training professionally myself! If you are interested in talking about possible training services during a walking, drop-in, or boarding session, please let me know. Odie, Franklin, and I hope you choose us as your next Rover!

Paige was an excellent sitter for our not-so-easy dog while we went on vacation. From the first message to the meet and greet before hand, to the drop off/pick up - I was very confident our dog was in great hands. She was even flexible with our dates coming back, as we weren't sure when we'd be back. Our dog barks a lot, and usually isn't very friendly but Paige was feeling positive about taking her on. Odie is very well trained and you can tell she spends a lot of time with him (and his training). We would not hesitate to recommend her to any one we know! She is a big asset to Rover.

Paige saved my last minute trip by accepting to take care of Foxi. She kept me updated and sent lots of pictures showing Foxi settling in. I really appreciate that. Thank you Paige!

When it comes to needing help with my fur babies, Paige is the first person that comes to mind. As someone who has been around and cared for animals her whole life, and as wonderful rescuer and companion of a pup herself, she consistently and constantly demonstrates her wealth of knowledge about animals and her love for our four-legged friends. She is responsible, reliable and has a huge heart, and I confidently and wholeheartedly recommend her to look after your pups!

I have known Paige for over ten years now and have trusted her on various occasions for pet sitting or general pet advice. Paige is educated and experienced when it comes to animals, I have worked with her in a farm setting where she managed a barn with equine and other smaller farm animals. She is timely, self disciplined and respectful. She is hard-working and trustworthy when it comes to anything pet related. I wouldn't think twice about putting any of my furry family members in her care. She truly appreciates the personality of each and every animal, you will often hear her refer to them as "people".

Safety, trust & environment

My dog, Odie, has struggled with anxiety for as long as I have owned him, and we have been fortunate to work with some amazing trainers to learn how to manage dogs in a home to help set them up for success. If you board your dog with me, I will be sure that they get plenty of time to play and exercise as well as time to rest and recharge - a balance of both of these are crucial to a dog's well being! If your dog prefers more personal space, I am happy to crate them or gate them off into their own section of the house for a little while, or if they prefer snuggles on the couch, they are more than welcome on the furniture at my house! Whatever your dogs' needs, I am happy to accommodate to give them the best possible experience while you are away.

Information Paige H. would like to know about your pet

I do not have any breed preferences, but I would like to know if the dog has a bite record and if they are neutered/spayed. My dog doesn't get along well with intact males or other very dominant male or female dogs. If your dog has a bite record, I am still happy to watch them as long as you provide a muzzle for them!

A typical day

We can go on as simple of a walk as just looping around the block, all the way up to taking a hike somewhere in the desert. Whatever your dog is ready for, I am ready for! If your dog isn't one for walks, I love to play fetch, tug, Chase, or whatever makes your dog happy. I even have a few (homemade) pieces of agility equipment that we can play with! If you have any special requests for activities, I will be happy to do whatever you need. I will make sure that your dog gets plenty of fun time, exercise, and rest time!
