My name is Paige and I am a speech language pathologist and dog lover! As for my dog personal life & experience, growing up I had a pitbull/Rotweiler mix who was with us until the old age of 15. A year after she passed my parents finally decided to adopt Mochi, a 9 year old deaf basset hound mix who is the sweetest little man alive! I also have experience as a volunteer at the Hawaii Humane Society where my mom and I groomed and walked dogs! Currently, I have two fur babies of my own that currently live with my husband in Arizona. Ollie is a 75 lb 6 year old German shepherd/pit bull mix who was adopted from the Illinois Humane Society when he was only 3 months old. He is my smart and handsome little man who I could not imagine a world without! We also have a precious little girl named Harley who is a 65 lb 3 year old Great Dane/ blue heeler mix. We adopted Harley from the Humane Society in Arizona. She came from a very abusive home and while it was a slow process, she finally has started to feel comfortable in our home and is realizing that our home IS her forever home. I would also like to mention that we also had a pitbull mix named Mika who passed away last May because of Muscular Dystrophy. We decided that it was time to let her go because she was obviously in a lot of pain and the vet told us that the particular type she had was incurable. As a result I do have experience with caring for dogs with special needs as far as administering medication and providing special diets. I decided to join rover because of the fact that my heart seems to be missing a giant dog sized chunk (with me being so far away from home)! While I've had mainly large dogs, please do not be mislead because I love dogs of all shapes, ages, breeds, and sizes! I am responsible, patient, prompt, and I will treat your dog as if they were my own! I hope to hear from you and your fur baby soon!
