Pet care experience
I come from a large family of dog owners. All kinds, behaviors, and sizes though I prefer smaller breeds. I grew up with two miniature poodles. And I recently lost my Yorkie to old age. 16 long years. So, I've gained a lot of experience taking care of a senior dog. My wife and I are eager to get another pup, but we aren't ready just yet. So, for now, we thought we could share our love with yours. So... Let me love your dog!

Pablo and Claire (sp) took very good care of Roxy for a week. Pablo sent great photo updates and asked questions to make sure that he’s taking the appropriate actions to keep Roxy happy and healthy. We joke that Roxy got a great vacation during her stay at Pablo’s, but that’s probably the truth. You can ‘t go wrong when you get Pablo & Claire to care for your dog (just don’t do it when we need to…).
Pablo and his wife Clare were so awesome and gentle with our anxious fella Gumbo. Pablo kept us informed of their activities and send pics and videos throughout the stay. We’re so grateful that Gumbo is being loved and cared for while we’re away!
Pablo & Claire are a dog owner’s dream come true! Kind, attentive humans who know dogs & their sweet personalities. Rover and my family is lucky to have them, highly recommend & yes, a repeat customer!
Pablo was great with our Pepper! We are so thankful to have found such a caring and affordable dog sitter. Pablo provided plenty of excercise and snuggles for Pepper. Most importantly, he kept her company throughout the day which was a huge factor for us. We would gladly book with Pablo again!

We have all the necessities that a small dog would need. Bed, blankets, dishes, leashes, harness, (small) crate, satchel, poop bags etc. Dogs are allowed on the couch and bed here unless you say otherwise. And there are plenty of grassy areas within steps of our apartment. We give dogs a lot of attention. They would rarely ever be alone.

I'm good at taking any directions or following any important steps to caring for your dog. I am a strict rule follower. I will love and care for your dog as you want me to. With that said, the more information you can provide, the better. I don't want to bother you while you are away. Like I said, I will do it by the book. Your book.
A typical day
I like to walk around Lake Merritt every morning to get a headstart on my 10,000 steps. So, of course, I would bring your dog along to get a good long walk in to start their day. Another 20-30 minute walk midday. And after work, I like to go to a fenced dog park, specifically for smaller dogs, at Ohlone Park so we can play a bit. Then it's back home for quality time. Usually just reading a book or watching a movie next to your pup. Then one more walk before bed.

Availability
I work from home so your dog will always have company throughout the day. We rarely leave the house, and when we do, it's usually to dog-friendly locations and restaurants with outside seating. I live right next to Pine Knoll Park and Lake Merritt. I'm an avid walker in general so it would be nice to have some canine company. My work is quite flexible, so if your dog needs long walks, that's not a problem.
