Pet care experience
I love dogs and have cared for several together in the past. I recently fostered several dogs with Austin Pets Alive and have also housesat for many dogs in the past. I grew up with dogs and love to walk and play with them. I’m responsible with remembering to give food and water, and take walks 3-5 times per day. I also have experience giving pills (in food/peanut butter). I’m active and work form home, so can take your dog for a walk several times a day. The area I live in in Austin is spacious and not trafficked, and has plenty of walking areas we can take dogs. I also love to explore nearby trails, and would love to take your dog for a leisurely hike. I look forward to being your next dog sitter!

Oswaldo is great. We hand a “meet and greet” with my dog and went on a walk together before I went away. My dog can be finicky and took to Oswaldo right away. He took great care of him and my house while I was away.
Oswaldo and his wife Mia were great at taking care of our dog Kili. They made sure she got walks, gave her her needed medications, and ensured she was comfortable throughout her stay. The photo updates were greatly appreciated! I would definitely have them sit Kili again if needed in the future.
Having our dog Rio stay with such a capable, comminucative and generally nice person as Oswaldo made our week away so much more stress free. We received pics everyday on their walks and our Rio looked so happy. Thanks again and will definitely call again if we need to travel.

This will vary depending on which service you offer. When I board dogs I make sure they get the walks and food they need each day. For drop-ins and housesits I like to review house rules with owners and then make it easy for pets to transition to a new caretaker in the home by sticking to their regular routine.

I like to know any allergies before watching dogs. I also like to know sleep preferences, any quirks, and if they know any tricks that we can practice with them.
A typical day
Typically I walk dogs in the morning between 7-9, again at lunch, then after work, and once again before bed. Meals are given 1-3 times a day depending on each pet’s diet. If toys are provided for the dog’s stay, I like to play tug-of-war or fetch within the house. If we’re provided treats I like to practice any commands that they know. I live near a nice small park where we like to walk dogs.

Availability
I work from home, and so we love when we have a dog to get us out of the house. During the week I’m home most of the day, so dogs get plenty of walking and play time. Depending on the size of the dog I may allow them in bed, but my preference is usually for them to sleep in their own bed. On weekends if I’m out of the home I’ll crate the dog if that’s what the owner prefers.
