Pet care experience
I have always cared for animals as my Father was an RSPCA inspector, RAF dog handler and farm worker - So we always had an array of animals to care for at my house. That love for animals has continued as I have had dogs, cats, horses, chickens and sheep all at home. I have been working as a pet sitter for about 6 months now, visiting all different homes to walk, exercise, look after & keep their pets company while their owners are away for the day or overnight. My other role as a P/T PA also means I am used to different client requests and I am happy to water plants, collect parcels etc when you are out so just ask! I am highly organised, friendly, helpful and reliable. DBS, insurance and references available.

Orissa really helped me out when I was let down last min by my local sitter. She was so understanding to all our needs and it was so nice to have someone who went above/beyond and made make our trip away stress free. She communicated well from start to finish, with regular updates on my tribe and photos to put my mind at rest - you could see how much fun and care they were having while we were away! The house was left in great condition, everything washed up, swept and put away which was lovely to come back to. Will definately be using Orissa again for drop in or overnight stays :)
Orissa cared for our horses for many years, she’s a knowledgable and skilled rider, always carries out yard duties to the highest of standards (we still joke about how clean the buckets were when she did them!) and is always reliable. Whether it’s just popping down to feed their breakfasts and doing their haynets, or helping out with poo picking, she’s always willing to make time for you. Orissa has also cared for my cat when I’ve been on holiday, she’s a cat girl herself, so I know my Daisy will always be in safe hands with her. Regards other pets, she’s got her own chickens, which live to an immaculate standard (I know this as I’ve checked in on them once or twice over the years!), she’s had her own horses, and has her gorgeous cat too. Thank you so much for looking after Henry for me! You always go the extra mile to understand what I am looking for and his little querks! As an aging cocker spaniel he can be a cheeky pest at times but I have no concerns leaving him in your care and knowing that you will care for him as if he was one of your own. Thank you! Orissa has been a great sitter for all our pets which include Dogs, Guinea pigs and Rabbits. She has been taking care of our pets now for over 6months and nothing is too much trouble for her. A friendly and professional persona in all aspects of her personality. I would highly recommend her and she is my first choice everytime.

I always treat everyones home and pets with love, care and respect - Nothing less will do and nothing is too much trouble. I am an organised perfectionist and always want my clients to know they can count on me while they are away. I also will always plan an initial meet/greet, so we can discuss requirements and I can meet you and your pets. I will go through everything in detail so I am completely clear on what you would like me to do, and I will have a form so I know all medical history, vet details, emergency contacts, feeding schedule, likes/dislikes, do curtains need to be closed/opened etc. I always get told when i leave my meet and greets 'Oh I am so relieved, I can go away knowing they are safe and are going to be looked after' Which is what I want my client to feel as that is my job :) I know personally as I have my own animals too and know how i like them and my home to be treated while I am away.

A typical day
I will take advice off you as to what your pet likes/dislikes doing and treat them all as individuals! I am happy to have an active visit with lots of play or if it suits them, a more chilled sofa cuddle and fuss. Totally adaptable for each pet.

I currently work p/t from home, so I am available for pet visits, sitting and stays throughout the week and weekend. For regular clients I am also happy to offer last min or emergency visits/stays, as I know what life can throw at us all!
