My parents have a King Charles and I had taken care of her for some time and also my friend's dog (her) during summer. I prefer to interact with dogs more than humans. I spent so much time on our family friend for her education and her wellbeing. I didn't sleep when she was sick or when she just didn't want to sleep. I carried her when she fell asleep in my arms during her childhood. I argued with my parents for her. I would take care of a dog not just for money because I see them as more than friends. They can sense when you are happy or not, they can understand who is friendly or not... For me, being with them would be just spending quality time.
