I have dogs and while they are a lot of fun and great companions they are also a huge responsibility. Your life is pretty much planned around your best furry friend(s), and while that's just fine most if the time it can be challenging and frustrating to find a suitable place for them if you're going somewhere you can't being them. I understand. I always hated taking my dogs to a kennel; they were never able to be boarded together and they were in kennels when they weren't having their 30 minutes of playtime each day. They would always come back home with upset stomachs from all the anxiety of being cooped up and in a strange facility with different folks coming in and out.
