My family has always had pets in the house (dogs, cats, and fish). From the time I was little, I've helped feed the pets and refill their water bowls. As I got older, I helped clean litter boxes, walked the dogs, and cleaned up messes. I've pet-sat for family friends (including those with snakes & birds) multiple times, and for a few months I worked part time at a dog daycare/kennel where I walked dogs back to the daycare/boarding/grooming area, and retrieved them from those areas when it was time for pickup.
