My name is Olivia S., senior at The University of Southern California. I live in Los Angeles during the school year, but I grew up in Westchester New York, the suburb right out of Manhattan. I study theater, film and stand up comedy, but that wasn’t my first passion. My first passion was to help animals- in any way I was able to. Starting from the age of 6 years old, I would hand out flyers saying “save the pandas!”, thinking that would work… oh how cute and simple my thought process was. Anyway, I grew up around animals, I have had horses, chickens, llamas, dogs and cats! I have always had a specific and special bond with dogs out of any animal and find them to be one of the most forgiving creatures. I still volunteer at shelters and actually rescued a dog of my own I found in a dumpster, he was only 2 weeks old and his name is Banjo! Through this process, I have learned and have been exposed to the proper care and treatments for dogs, along with building a monumental bond with them.
