Pet care experience
I have always loved and been around cats and dogs since a very young age. From 2013-2016 I volunteered with a dog rescue in the DC metro area called K-9 Lifesavers and found it very fulfilling. I am originally from the DMV area, and back at home in MD I have 5 hilarious and loving dogs that were adopted through K-9. I currently live with my partner and our 3 cats (2 of which are my own) in Alexandria, VA. I have experience pet sitting/house sitting for extended periods of time and have truly enjoy it! I recently left my career in tech to start my own stay-at-home business. As I work to get my business off the ground, I am hoping to get back into animal care to help me make ends meet. I would love to help out cat and dog owners in the area however I can with my relatively wide-open schedule. I promise to look after your furry friend as if it's one of my own.

Olivia was just great. Very attentive to our instructions for our dog, Jenna, as well as our house. She responded promptly to our texts, and sent updates and pictures of Jenna. We were extremely pleased with Olivia and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a responsible and caring pet sitter.
Olivia is wonderful! She has watched Pedro for me many times, including once for a week-long stint. As a result, I know that she is not only a true dog-lover, but is also incredibly responsible. Plus, Pedro loved her (sometimes, I think more than me!). I would use her again in a heartbeat.
Olivia is a WONDERFUL dog sitter! Responsible, loving and super kind with our dogs, I never worry about leaving them in her care. She sends me notes while I'm traveling so I get updates regularly. And they are always happy, clean and well cared for when I return home. My husband and I completely trust Olivia to take good care of our furry babies.

This is something really important to me, as I also love to receive the same while my pets are in someone else's care. I like to make sure that the pets I take care of have everything they need in terms of food, water, play time, and affection. I'm a big fan of giving pets and treats :)

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs, requirements, or behaviors I should know about and I will be happy to accommodate! I have experience giving medications daily to both cats and dogs and am comfortable doing so.
A typical day
With dogs I love to take long walks or explore nearby parks. I also like to play indoors with them using whatever toys or treats they have available. With cats I mostly try to read their body language, but if they are willing to play I love to use feather toys or catnip treats to make sure they are happy and having fun. I'm also a big fan of turning on "cat TV" if I have to leave the house briefly in order to keep them entertained.
