I’ve had dogs ever since i was little. We always had big dogs, so i’m very comfortable around them. For about 2 years when I lived in Kingsport, I volunteered for the animal shelter about 2-3 times a week. Because of this, I learned how to care for dogs and cats, especially ones that were scared of me and how to calm them down. Growing up, I always wanted to be a veterinarian. I realized it was something I couldn’t do when I shadowed a vet in high school for my animal care class, and realized I would have to put animals down. I do have a cat at my apartment, but he loves dogs. My friends will bring their dogs over and he will play with them. I love all animals and it’s a dream job to simply care for them.
