Hey pet lovers! My name is Olivia and I’ve owned a variety of pets my entire life and have experience with many different types of animals. This job is extremely important to me as I do it because of my love for animals and their wonderful families. I have extensive knowledge with ferrets, dogs, cats, pigs, most small rodents, and tortoises. This includes regular care (such as animal husbandry, exercise, etc) and medication. My love for animals has given me the ability to know the care all these animals need like the back of my hand. In my free time, I volunteer at the Judith Basset Canid Education which means I’m gaining experience with foxes, coyotes, wolves, and New Guinea singing dogs as well. Currently, I'm enrolled in college with the goal of going to school for Veterinary Medicine. I have experience with all types of medication, including injected medications. I'm comfortable with all types of administrations and dealing with a variety of illnesses. This includes chemotherapy, insulin injections, and many types of pills. Some of my clients have had animals who are in the last stages of life and need support. Not only will I be by your side any time you need, but I will love your pet as much as you and grieve with you if the time has come. Being a reliable sitter who goes above-and-beyond for each one of my clients is my top priority. I don't do this as a side gig, I genuinely deeply care for each one of the animals I come across. I have been around animals ever since I came out of the womb. With me, you won’t need to worry about anything with your pet. I’ll be sure to love your pet, play with them (if they are social), and LOTS of pictures and updates :) I’m happy to work with special needs animals & I’ll oblige with any strict rules/conditions you have for your fur baby. I will give your fur baby all the love in the world whether it’s a walk, drop in visit, or house sitting. Being reliable with above-and-beyond care is my top priority. You will get lots of updates and pictures from me and I will give them the best care possible. Respecting your home and the way you care for your pet is extremely important to me and I will always have good communication. Please rest assured that your fur baby will be in the best hands possible. While I always send updates and lots of pictures, never hesitate to ask questions if you are wondering how your baby is doing. I'm always happy to water plants, vacuum a little, or whatever else to keep your home tidy while you are gone- free of charge. Having detailed instructions is always appreciated so I can give your baby the exact care you are expecting. I enjoy taking pictures of pets with my phone and actual camera, so expect me to treat your baby like the model they are! **I do have a request: If you have cameras, disclosing them is always appreciated. They don't bother me and while I always act the same way on-or-off camera, there has been a lot of news about people having cameras hidden in areas that are inappropriate (such as a bathroom or a bedroom during a house sitting.) I kindly ask that you confirm cameras will not be in personal areas for my own safety. Thank you!
Information Olivia M. would like to know about your pet
I have no preferences with breed. Things I need to know before I sit an animal are: 1) are they good with other animals / dogs? 2) do they bite a lot and/or get feisty easily? (This won’t prevent me from taking one on, just will change how I’ll handle certain situations) 3) how do you usually discipline your animal if they act up? And would you want me to discipline the same way? (I will not discipline an animal by hitting, or hurting them in any way.) 4) are they on any diets? Do they have special needs? 5) Detailed instructions would be appreciated as there will be no room for miscommunication or misunderstanding and allows me to give the best care possible!
A typical day
It’s all dependent on the dog! I know different dogs need different things. If they’re not reactive, I will walk them in public areas. If not, I’ll go to a private quieter area. I’ll bring my own toys and treats (as long as the owner agrees!) and give them my unconditional attention. I’m happy to do enrichment activities with any dog that’s willing to. I LOVE taking pictures of pets so expect fun, cute photos! *note: I don’t usually take dogs I watch to dog parks because of the risk of other dogs potentially injuring them!*

Availability
My schedule is relatively flexible and I am willing to work pet care around my schedule whenever possible. I'm enrolled in classes at my college so I do appreciate clients that can be somewhat flexible with times if they overlap with a class. When I am not in school, I'm always doing jobs with animals, volunteering with animals, or hanging out with my own pets!
