Pet care experience
I have experience working at two different boarding/daycare facilities. Additionally, I have personal experience caring for senior animals, puppies, and reactive/fearful dogs. I have fostered dogs and volunteered time at rescues to further care for dogs. I am currently investing time into online seminars and trainings to become an animal behavioralist, which has all helped me to train my own dog.

Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I personally have a fenced in backyard; however, I have experience walking multiple dogs at a time and handling dogs safely in open environments. I make intentional points to always be attentive to dogs regardless if they are fenced in or not. When I am caring for someone else’s dog, or my own, I make sure their safety is guaranteed. This is a skill I have sharpened since owning a fear reactive dog.
Information Olivia M. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know your dogs temperament, their friendliness with other dogs and people, the basic skills they already possess, and any fun things about them! I have experience with training my own personal dog which has harbored much success; however, I acknowledge every dog is different. This means that with the proper information, I am willing to work with any dogs and find out the best methods that work for their care whether you want walks, check-ins, short, informal training sessions, or anything else!
A typical day
I enjoy finding a variety of activities to do with dogs that can include physical and mental stimulation. To me, exercising your dog is not only about walking or playing fetch. I like to play "find it" with my dog by using a portion of his daily meal. This is a type of searching game for dogs that is mentally stimulating and sharpens their scent work. Additionally, I meet dogs where they are basic obedience wise and take time to work on basic skills. This is another mental stimulation game in which the dogs works for their food.
