Welcome to my profile! I am so glad you're considering me for your pet's needs. My name is Olivia, I am 29 years old and a graduate of Virginia Tech where I studied both Business & Animal Science. Since graduating, I have worked almost exclusively with animals - I have bountiful experience with many species, both small & large. Past job experience includes serving as a veterinary assistant, performing daily tasks at open intake animal shelters, working under trained & certified dog trainers, and managing the care of 20+ show horses both at home & on the road. In addition to these paid positions, I also participate in rescues, fostering, and of course pet/farm sitting as well. All of which require an understanding of animal health & behavior as well as a high level of dedication, reliableness & organization. Olivia was amazing with our two dogs! She stayed for 3 days and took the best care. We currently have a training issue with our dogs since one of our dogs is new to our home and she stepped right up to ensure that there were no issues. She was so understanding and respectful of our needs. Our dogs loved her and miss her! We highly recommend her, as she is so skilled, professional, patient, loving, and respectful.

This was our first time using Rover. We found Olivia and hit it off immediately. We have just returned from a ten day trip and she was awesome. She was very conscientious and thorough. We have 5 cats, one is geriatric and needs insulin and eye drops, 2 exclusive indoor, one in/outdoor and one out door only plus 6 chickens. She kept everyone’s needs straight and we returned to a happy and healthy gang. We will absolutely be booking Olivia in the future and would recommend her highly.
Olivia was awesome! Such a comfort to go on vacation and know your pets are able to stay in their home with someone as attentive and responsible as Olivia. She kept me updated throughout the week with pictures also. I highly recommend her and will definitely be using her in the future.

My current home is 2nd floor walk up, so it is unfortunately not ideal for dogs unable to use the stairs (unless of course they’re okay being carried). That being said, I have a modestly sized securely fenced in yard for quick bathroom trips. We are located on a large horse farm where I am able to walk your pet for added exercise, and have multiple trails/parks within a 5 minute drive if that is something you’d allow your pet to participate in!

A typical day
A typical day in my care varies for each pet! My dogs and I love to spend time outside and frequent many hiking trails in the area. If this is something you’d allow your pet to participate in please let me know I would be happy to bring them during their time with me. Same goes for car rides! If you’re comfortable letting your pet leave the property with me I would be happy to take them along whenever possible. I know my doggos love coming for rides to drive thrus and my farm!

I ride horses for a living and am lucky enough to not only love what I do but I also make my own schedule. I am usually able to meet the needs of any pet and am willing to work around whatever they need!
