Hi! Thanks for checking out my profile! My name is Olivia and I am currently a senior at the College of Wooster. Ienjoy reading, playing frisbee, Cle sports, and anything having to do with the outdoors! Last summer, I worked in a no-kill animal shelter with dogs from all walks of life: big, small, well-tempered, head-shy and/or food-aggressive, puppies, older pups, etc. In my experience, caring for (wo)man's best friend should be centered around patience and positive reinforcement with the occasional belly rub. I am comfortable dealing with most, if not all, types of dogs (personality, size, health status, temperament), and can look after even the most demanding of pups. Establishing a good connection is essential in caring for any dog and gaining their trust. A happy pup in my care means a happier pup for you to return home to! In addition to my professional experience caring with dogs, I have taken care of my own pups for 15+ years. My family has always considered our golden retrievers to be other (furrier) members of the family! In always having a dog (or 2) to take care of, I am able to exercise, feed, administer medicine, groom, and perform other duties to make sure your pup's health and happiness are top priority! My current dog, Bella, is a 4 year-old golden retriever rescue. Having grown up for the first several years of her life in a puppy mill, Bella has a myriad of behavioral and social problems, such as her fear of walks, strangers, cars, and just about anything else outside of our home. She is quite docile and hesitant to trust at first, but with enough love and attention will pester you to hold her paw or scratch her tummy! I believe, and have witnessed through my own experience, that with enough care and love, any dog is able to maintain a strong sense of well-being, just like Bella:)
