When we interviewed Olivia, we were very impressed with her credentials and previous reviews She is a lovely person and works at a vet's office. She also only works part time, which would allow sufficient time to care for our dogs. We went through a detailed list of our normal routines for our two small dogs and left her 3 emergency phone numbers. We also explained that we have 3 cameras outside. This was only a 3 day 2 night getaway. While we were away, and after we got home, we checked security camera footage and found that she had left the dogs for long periods of time (once for 10 hours) and only took them on their normal 15 minute walk only once. The other walks lasted no more than 1-3 minutes. The most upsetting thing was that we saw a stranger enter our house using her code on the keypad to turn on the alarm which Olivia had forgotten to do. Unfortunately, during this time Olivia’s roommate had been in a serious accident and was hospitalized. She was understandably upset and this no doubt contributed to one day of her problem, but she neglected to let us know or use the emergency numbers we gave her for our neighbor or our kids who live nearby. Only when we called at 10 pm after noticing her absence since 1pm, did we find out she had an issue. I do not like doing negative reviews and considered not doing this one. Maybe she just had a bad 3 days, however, in consideration of other people who are looking for a pet sitter, we felt obligated to post this review.
