Ready to love your pets!
Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Olivia and I live with my husband in Waldoboro, ME. I grew up in the midcoast and my family had cats, horses, chickens, fish, and a dog while I was growing up. Our pets have been known to live long and happy lives. After attending college in Vermont I returned to Maine and have been providing pet care services on the side for many years. I have provided many types of pet care services to families with dogs, cats, chickens, turkeys, and fish. I have done short and longer stays (up to 2 weeks) at client’s homes to ensure pets get enough attention and love, outside breaks, and always have clean food and water. I have stopped in to walk and play with dogs, feed and give attention to cats, and have administered simple medication. Depending on your pet care needs, my husband Robin may be able to join me in the care of your pets, giving your pets more attention than I could alone. If this is the case we would both be happy to meet you and your pets in person prior to booking. I look forward to discussing your pet care and housesitting needs and helping you in the future! My schedule varies throughout the year as I also provide elderly care, landscaping, and childcare services. I am happy to discuss scheduling needs on a case by case basis. My husband is a teacher with consistent schedule which is helpful when planning for extended stays. He is willing to assist at no additional cost to you. Please let me know what your needs are. I would love to be your pet’s new best friend! I provide care to pets in the comfort of their home and provide walks in the immediate neighborhood area, unless otherwise discussed with clients. I will not transport pets in my car except for in emergency situations or when explicitly discussed with pet owners. I do not care for clients’ pets in my home at this time.
Reviews
Olivia was so great! Meet and greet process went very well, we have 4 cats and all were cared for exactly as asked for. Olivia even went above and beyond and grabbed an extra bag of dry food from the store for our cats gravity feeder because they devoured it long before they should have. Very grateful and will definitely be booking with Olivia again!
Olivia was excellent when we needed someone last minute to care for our dogs.
We are repeat customers and very happy with Olivia. She is our go-to sitter and she always goes above and beyond. We couldn't give her a higher recommendation!
We are so happy and thankful for Olivia's care of our aging dogs. She went above and beyond with extra effort including moving packages inside the house when they were delivered in our absence. We couldn't rate her higher, or we would!

I provide care for pets in their own homes, where they are most comfortable. In the future I may be open to hosting pets in my home on a case by case basis.
Information Olivia C. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know about the breed, temperament, personality, and any other special needs or considerations to take into account. Please let me know if your pets have any sensitivities, past traumas, medical conditions, medications, or preferences. Do they have a history of food aggression or separation anxiety? What helps soothe them?
A typical day
I know a variety of great places to go for walks/hikes and would be glad to play frisbee or fetch with them. I love going for walks and hikes and I typically provide dog walks in the immediate vicinity of the pet owner's home. I would be glad to continue working on training your dog in obedience and tricks. Please let me know what your have been working on and I will support this training while caring for your dog. On days when we have extreme weather I will not risk the health and safety of your pet in going for a long walk. In these cases I will connect with you about other options such as short "pee breaks" and indoor play or training. Puzzle toys can be great to break up the day and provide mental stimulation on days when outside activity is not ideal for the health of your pet.

Availability
My schedule varies from season to season and sometimes from week to week. It is best to have a conversation about your particular needs to see if I will be able to provide the best care for your fur-family. This summer (2023) I typically work outside the home 8-4 Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and 9-5 Tuesdays and Fridays. For this reason, I may not be the best fit for your pets if they need potty breaks more frequently throughout the day.
