LIVE while LIV takes the Leashes!

Pet care experience

While growing up on a dairy farm, I always dreamed of having a furry companion to run the fields and relax with after a long day of chores. I must’ve written “Husky” 99 times on the chalkboard when asked which dog I wanted. I saved the last “1” for a small dog just in case, as they need love too. BEHOLD: the tiniest dog I ever did see, I didn’t believe him to be real! Indeed real he was, and he became the best cow-herding, bike-chasin, snuggle-bug for 16 long years. Including my own pet ownership, I had spent summers traveling to Florida to volunteer at my sister's shelter. Throughout highschool and the start of college, I continued to volunteer at local shelter’s helping in any way I could while gaining experience in animal care. In the fall of 2018, I went off to school to study Biochemistry and in line to study veterinary medicine. Unfortunately, due to a lack of financial assistance, I was unable to continue education and continued my travels while deepening my search in the workforce. Since, I have been a Veterinarian Assistant/Ranch Hand and helped raise and care for quarter horses in South Dakota, cared for many paws during their stay in the kennels I’ve volunteered for, took on the role of a doggy daycare pack leader and dog trainer, and reshaped the lives of many as I am a dog trainer for service dog tasks as well as the many lives I have fostered and rehomed as we find each other on our journeys. Overall I have experience in the cleaning and maintenance of animal care, including feeding and basic grooming. I have comfortability with medication administration, including most over-the-counter injections and basic first aid care and recovery aftercare. I have knowledge in a wide variety of training, which incorporates basic obedience, basic agility, psychiatric, mobility, and medical alert/response service tasks, minimal to moderate aggression/reactivity, separation anxiety or troubling behaviors, public and animal socialization/integration, and various collar methods (E, Prong, Slip, muzzle). Positive reinforcement is utilized primarily and above all else.

Olivia is absolutely the BEST, quick at replying back whenever I had questions or was just checking in. I will definitely be booking with her again. I couldn't be more pleased with leaving my dogs in such good hands, she kept me up to date with what they’ve been doing and how they were. Prayers were definitely answered with Olivia. Thank you so much!!!

From all the years I have known Olivia, she has always been surrounded by animals. Her ability to take care of animals has always impressed me because she shows them the same endless love that they were born with themselves. Olivia is caring, compassionate and understanding with every animal she comes across. Even the most nervous of animals, eventually calm down and get them use to her presence. She is diligent when it comes to an animals needs as well. Not only is she good with caring for animals, but her ability to train dogs is very good too. She is dedicated and patient with every dog she trains. She does it with such ease and joy. Olivia is ambitious, Kind, and outgoing. The perfect person to take care of anyones furry and non furry friends.

In my home, my girls are kennel trained and are provided kennel access at all times. One pup free roams while home alone, but the puppy has not graduated her kennel training yet. However, both girls sleep in my bed and have access to all rooms and furniture, as your baby would too! On hand, I have an XL, L, and M size kennels available to share 🙂 I am available for quick bathroom breaks while you're at work, gone for 3 days, and even up to 2 weeks! Long-term options available upon request as well as personal training classes. I often bring my dog’s out during the week for our share of vitamin D and mountains, yours are welcome to join! Or we can schedule a hike alone for privacy, space and grace. Whether a sleepover adventure, or company for them, hosting care at your house or mine, I don’t mind sharing my den! All care and plans will be tailored to your pup’s needs and we will meet them where they’re at!

Availability

Upon my own personal journey, my health conditions have increasingly developed, causing me to take an unpaid medical leave of absence from NYS-OPWDD. It is during this time that I have rescued another dog to train as my service aide and companion. I am available almost full-time as I do my work from home. Other words, you and your pal will receive well versatile care, with experience from all encounters: personal, educational, and through employment. They say, the best medicine is laughter but I believe it's a drooling tongue, puppy eyes, and perky ears! During all of this free time, allow me to take care of yours! From all ages, shapes and sizes; some calm, hyper, a few were full of surprises. Above all else, your pet’s safety and comfortability is most important and will be prioritized while their time is engaging and educating. We understand life can get busy at times! While you’re running around, so will we! In order to LIVE, let LIV take the leashes!
